An enemy in need is a friend indeed

“One of the keys to happiness is a bad memory.”
― Rita Mae Brown

Unfortunately for me I receive my daily recommended amounts of Omegas-3, which is thought to improve brain functionality. Additionally my typical breakfast during the weekdays is oatmeal with fresh blueberries on top another "superfood" for the brain and I love kale and cabbage with my dinner.

Now back to what Ms. Rita Brown states above, how I wish sometimes that I could forget certain things it would make forgiveness so much easier. Here's the deal have this friend who we have been on and off the friendship wagon for years.

Usually we will be on good terms for about a year and some change, then some major fall out will happen and we will stop speaking for the next year or so. Until, that "I miss you "text/call/Facebook message/email comes through.
Then you know we have a heart to heart catch up on each others lives and boom, we are back to being friends.

Well the "I miss you email" came through a few days ago and I responded with many reservations, I did not quickly send her my new phone number so that we could chat immediately nor did I spill all the details of my life, because why we stopped being friends the last time was quite catastrophic.

Now it's been roughly two years since we stopped talking and to be honest although I have thought of her and would even go as far as to say missed her company, I do not miss feeling like I need to have my guard up to be around her. That's not the nature of a friendship. From the few emailed conversations I do find myself worried about her she seems rather unhappy, so I do not want to abandon her during a difficult time but also I am trying to clarify that I am "here" based on respect for our past and not as a friend, nor an enemy in the current. But that line is hard to paint in the situation. And I wonder at all if it is even possible.

Now onto some things of ponder, I wonder if recyclable trash bags would catch on? Or are already caught on. I thought of this while going to change my trash bag in the bathroom, before realizing that last time I did change it I never replaced the bag. Given that I try to limit my use of plastic products anyways I found I limited to the point where I do not have a single one.

But I did have an old pillowcase I was going to turn into rags and so... I have a reusable trash bag. I will just throw it in with the other rags when I was them or hand wash it and lay outside to dry.

Now unfortunately I will probably still end up putting all my trash in one big bag and hauling to the dumpster in my apartment complex because it is like half a mile away from my unit but at least it is one more less plastic bag.
