Check point

It has been exactly 3 weeks since I entered my intermittent fasting experience with seven more days to go its become as natural to me as anything else in my routine. As far as the physical benefits I have lost weight although I'm not sure how much of that is due to the fasting but I am quite sure that not snacking on cheese flavored anything at 9pm had to help.

The hardest part was occasionally waking up very early and being used to shoveling oatmeal or peanut butter toast into my mouth but when it wasn't quite time to break the fast yet I found I could sustain on a big glass of water until the appropriate hour struck. Another hard part was the social weekends where fast food or bar food was always tempting at late hours with the exception of my company's very belated holiday party I found myself rejecting the unnecessary food because I truly was not hungry and realized it was cravings kicking in. Speaking of cravings I have not ordered French fries in 3 weeks and now when filling out my lunch order from the cafeteria at work it's not hard to circle vegetables or soup as the side item and not think of the of the French fries dipped in mayo or ranch and what could of been.

To my beloved French fries, absence makes the heart grow fonder, except in this case it makes the heart grow healthier.
