Between the shitty weather and the horrid sounds of traffic the horns during rush hour, the ambulances screaming, the grinding of worn brake pads, and the undecipherable lyrics of rap music loudly escaping from the speakers of a Honda I have developed one hell of a headache.
Reluctant to pump my body full of yellow, blue or orange pills I opt for a more natural reliever. Today however the old tricks were not cutting it. I tried a warm towel on my forehead followed by a nap with Sterling, some warm herbal tea with cinnamon, and breathing in peppermint oil, made sure I was hydrated with my H20 and was still left with the same head nuisance.
Never fear google was here to help when all else fails. After trolling discussion boards I was willing to try anything that did not involve me having to go any further than my kitchen and sofa.
Trials and failures results:
1. Tapping on the spot between your eyes gently with your index finger
Provided immediate relief but that disappeared once the tapping stopped
2. coca cola or pepsi and salted peanuts mixed in the pop drink it as you normally would
This just made me thirsty
3. Glass of hot water add salt to taste in it and drink it slowly. Soon, you will get a natural call and all will be relaxed
I've done a salt water flush before, although this is less water than what's used in the flush I can't shake the memory of the nausea and the time spent reading about the Peloponnesian war on the porcelain chair, I skipped this suggestion
4. Lemongrass oil on temples and neck
I dozed off for a few minutes after this one and awoke with Sterling sniffing me and my headache still in tact
5. Mix one spoon of lemon water and salt.
put this on you forehead and drink herbal tea.
I don't know if it was the lemon and salt or the second cup of cinnamon hibiscus tea but I feel significantly better
